Lillyana Collier was the eldest child (alongside her twin brother) of a botanist-turned-adventurer mother and a Sharlayan scholar-turned-adventurer father. She grew up on the chocobo farm her parents had created to start afresh after retiring from adventuring, in a nurturing and equitable setting that also encouraged her to explore new possibilities. Inspired by her parents' adventurous spirit, Lillyana dreamed of embarking on her own journey to discover the world beyond the Twelveswood.Her journey into the unknown began unexpectedly when what should have been a routine trip to gather firewood turned into a terrifying encounter with a massive grizzly bear threatening her youngest sister, Marnie. Faced with the imminent danger to her sister, a fire was kindled deep within Lillyana's soul, and unknowingly tapping into an unstable version of Scorch, a spell reserved for skilled Red Mages, Lillyana managed to extinguish the bear's life just moments before it could kill Marnie. The intense effort caused Lillyana to lose consciousness, but the memory of that fateful day remained etched in her mind forever.Because Lillyana's parents had previously crossed paths with him during their adventuring days, they advised her to seek out X'Ruhn Tia, a Red Mage from Gyr Abania who was once renowned as one of the Crimson Duelists. Upon meeting Lillyana, he immediately noticed the determination in her eyes, and willingly agreed to mentor her. However, he made it clear that mastering the sword and crystal focus would require rigorous training and discipline. Without hesitation, Lillyana accepted the challenge, eager to enhance her magical abilities and become stronger so she could prevent any unfortunate incidents like the one with the grizzly bear from happening again without relying on mere luck.Inspired by X'Rhun's unwavering dedication to journeying through the lands of Eorzea, Gyr Abania, and all corners of Etheirys to aid those in need, Lillyana challenged herself to the fullest extent during her training. Her goal is to follow in X'hrun's footsteps as a Red Mage and become an adventurer capable of assisting many others. She knows that there were people out there less fortunate than herself, and she is determined to make a difference in their lives.

Compared to her family, Lillyana possesses an extraordinary connection to her aether, enabling her to harness magic from a young age, albeit without knowing how to control it. Once she began her training as a Red Mage, she finally learned how to harness her aether, weaving spells and blending it with swordplay into a versatile combat style that proves invaluable in assisting her fellow travelers. While she can execute the traditional techniques of Red Mages well, she has also shaped her own unique approach known as the "Spell Fencer". This offensive stance allows her to infuse swordplay with the potent Vermillion spells for a more melee-oriented approach, all while expertly maintaining her crystal focus in her other hand for balance.Thanks to her training, she possesses great agility and acrobatic abilities, relying on speed and mobility to offset her lack of brute strength to gain the advantage. As a result, she executes a flamboyant fighting style that enables her to outmaneuver opponents with impressive skill and fluid movement.Apart from her combat and magical skills, Lillyana possesses a wealth of knowledge about flora and fauna. This knowledge comes from the scholarly books and notes collected by her father, the handwritten notes of her mother, and her own hands-on experience growing up on a chocobo farm.

Lillyana is a spontaneous, optimistic individual with a strong curiosity for the world around her, her fiery spirit matching the long, wavy locks of her hair. Beneath her passionate exterior lies a kind-hearted and caring girl who values friendship and helping others. She is always eager to lend a hand and bring smiles to those around her. Her friends and companions appreciate her affectionate and sociable nature, as she does her absolute best to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, breaking the ice and enjoying making connections.Once she is determined to achieve something, it is extremely difficult to divert her from the path she has chosen to follow. As long as draws breath, she will persist in standing up and fighting, especially for those she loves. This persistence can also make her stubborn in certain situations, but she is wise enough to avoid escalating disagreements to an uncomfortable level.She also possesses a mischievous demeanor and finds delight in lighthearted pranks from time to time. Furthermore, she will playfully jest and tease individuals she has a strong bond with, after identifying their sense of humor boundaries. She often takes many things in stride, rarely showing anger in most situations. However, if she senses true malice, especially when directed towards her loved ones, she reveals a fierce side: ensuring the wrongdoer doesn't get back up.

Thanks to the valuable advice passed down from her parents and her mentor X'Rhun Tia, Lillyana takes care to approach every journey with thorough preparation. She equips herself with a bag stocked with a variety of herbs and basic first aid supplies, just in case she cannot rely on her limited knowledge of healing magic. While she prays she never needs to use it, she always carries a single Phoenix Down in the event of a grim circumstance.As a reward for successfully completing X'Rhun Tia's training, she received a specially crafted sabre and crystal focus that accommodates the more melee-oriented Spell Fencer stance while also allowing traditional fencing. With this gear, she can skillfully combine slashing and thrusting movements, while being able to switch to the standard Red Mage's casting-oriented style.

Misc. Trivia

• She comes from a family of five siblings, where she and her twin brother Alister are the oldest. It is worth noting that she is the only one in her family to have vibrant orange hair, while the others have auburn/brown hair.• Ever since she adopted the lone and abandoned dwarf rabbit she named Almond, they have been traveling companions since. Almond displays vague characteristics that hint that she might actually be a Voidsent, but this is mere speculation.• She is very proficient at handling chocobos, understanding their behavior and distinguishing different states of well-being by their mannerisms or the pitch of their kwehs.• She tends to surprise some people with how intelligent she is by "country mouse" standards, thanks to her parents providing her with ample education.• She absolutely loves bread and anything related to bread to a fault, to the point she can cook and bake anything bread related... but not much else (though she is slowly learning more recipes).• She is terrified of ghosts, and dislikes hot and humid climates.• She is hopeless with technology, and would be unable to operate any Allagan, Garlean, or Alexandrian devices properly.• Her accidental use of Scorch to save her younger sister was made possible due to the power of dynamis, something she and many others were not aware of at the time.
